Do It Yourself Foaming Soap

Do It Yourself Foaming Soap

I read about making do it yourself foaming soap on Money Saving Mom quite awhile ago and have never gotten around to it. For whatever reason, I never realized how easy it would be and how much money we could save! That changed today! Several weeks ago I bought a Method Foaming Hand Soap at Target with the intention of re-using it for my foaming hand soap project. I did price out several re-useable foaming containers but decided to stick with a cheap option til I knew how well it would work. I am SOLD now!

How to Make Do It Yourself Foaming Soap

First, I started out with my empty soap dispenser. I have had this hand soap refill under my sink for about a bajillion years and finally used it today!

Next, I poured a little bit of the handsoap liquid into the empty dispenser. I think I used a little more than recommended but I am into extras! 🙂

Then I filled the bottle with water and swished it around to mix the water with the liquid soap.

Finally, it was time to try it! It worked perfect! I am so excited to have this great option for our family. I was able to use a scent I loved plus I’ll be saving tons of money! I would encourage you to try this as well – it’d be a great and easy little project with kids as well!

Hi, quick question. Does this work with any dispenser or does it need to be a foaming one? Thanks!

Hi, Kandace! If you want it to be foaming soap, you’ll need to use a foaming dispenser. I re-use mine from Target, so it’s really inexpensive! You don’t have to purchase a fancy one! 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!
