Dr. Brown’s Gia Breastfeeding Pillow {Review & Giveaway}

Dr. Brown’s Gia Breastfeeding Pillow.

I am passionate about breastfeeding! I think it’s amazing that women carry a baby for 40 weeks, growing and nurturing their little one. Then, they continue to grow that little one by nursing. I never could imagine what a special bond I would develop with my little guys through nursing. I had a bumpy start with each of them and it wasn’t always easy to stick with breastfeeding but the rewards are so worth it. I am thankful for great nursing support from my family and wonderful products, like the Gia Breastfeeding Pillow that make my job so much easier!

What is Dr. Brown’s Gia Breastfeeding Pillow?

Dr. Brown’s brand has quickly become recognized as one of the foremost baby brands trusted by parents since starting in 1996. They offer a range of great products including breast pumps, bottles and pacifiers, plus these gorgeous and functional breastfeeding pillows with easy to remove, washable covers! The pillows are designed by a lactation specialist and offer a unique, angled shape.

The pillow is quilted from 100% cotton material and is both anti-bacterial and stain resistant. The angle can help reduce digestion issues and other feeding problems. The pillow has a wider, flatter surface than other pillows and can grow with baby for limitless use possibilities. I love that it’s also safe to machine wash and dry!

You can find out more by visiting Dr. Brown’s Facebook and Dr. Brown’s Pinterest. You can also see some of their products in action by visiting Dr. Brown’s YouTube channel. The Gia Breastfeeding Pillow retails for $35 and is available online and in stores.

What Did I Think of the Gia Breastfeeding Pillow?

I liked it! The unique shape easily conformed to my body and comfortably held Shay. I was impressed with the level of support it provided. While using the pillow, I noticed a great reduction in the strain on my back. Shay is no small potato {he’s about 18 pounds right now!} so I NEED the help keeping him in a comfortable position to nurse. The cotton material is light weight and breathable, so neither of us got too hot! When Zane wiped his dirty hand on the pillow one day, it easily came clean with a little water, which made me happy! I would encourage any breastfeeding mamas out there to invest in this pillow! It would also make a fantastic shower gift to help a mom get started nursing on the right foot… or boob, if you will. πŸ˜‰ Bravo to Dr. Brown’s for a fantastic product!

Shay and I enjoyed some snuggles while using the pillow for extra support.

      I have a Boppy as well that I used with my first two boys. I really thought this surpassed it! It was more comfortable and didn’t slide off of me like the Boppy did. Good luck, Stefanie! πŸ™‚

      I have two kids so far and I love breastfeeding but with my second she will only lay feed ( meaning I have to lay down lol) We havent found a comfortable nursing pillow yet so getting out of the house has been VERY limited. Maybe the Dr. Brown’s pillow would be “the one”!
