Home Made Taco Seasoning

Taco seasoning packets at the store are filled with gross preservatives.. plus, they’re expensive! Here’s a great alternative that can easily be multiplied so it’s ready at a moments notice! I store a batch in an old spice jar.

Ingredients for Taco Seasoning

1 tablespoon chili powder

1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin

1 teaspoon sea salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon onion powder

1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

1/4 teaspoon dried oregano

How to Make Home Made Taco Seasoning

Just mix all the ingredients together in a bowl. I use about 2 tablespoons per one pound of meat. I also mix it with 1/4 – 1/2 cup of water before pouring over the meat. You definitely add a little more for an added kick if you’d rather! 🙂

That is handy to know, I always just buy a packet when we have tacos. That’ll save money to have it all and do it myself.

LOL! I LITERALLY just sat down to eat a taco salad made with the EXACT recipe that you posted. I make huge batches of this every month because we love it at my house.
