Save Money by Making Homemade Baby Wipes

Homemade Baby Wipes

A great way to save money on baby wipes, especially if you have a child with sensitive skin, is to make homemade baby wipes! It’s very easy and can be very economical if you are getting your paper towels at stock up prices!

How to Make Homemade Baby Wipes

When I have made our baby wipes, I put them in an used, round wipes container and poured the solution over them. You could also store them dry and use a small spray bottle filled with the solution to spritz on the wipes when you need them. I always just pour the solution directly on my wipes so they’re ready to go!

To start, I used a knife to saw a roll of paper towels in half. I then removed the cardboard from inside so that I could stick right into a round container. Instead of an old baby wipes container, you could also use a tupperware contained of some kind. I know some people also rip off each paper towel and stack them, just like regular baby wipes from the store.

Ideas for Solutions to Use on Your Homemade Baby Wipes

  • 2 TBSP Baby Wash (choose a natural wash!)
  • 2 TBSP Olive Oil
  • 2 Cups water

  • 2 TBSP Baby Wash
  • 2 TBSP Olive Oil or 1 TBSP Calendula Oil or 2 TBSP Almond Oil
  • 2 Drops Lavender Oil {should be pure essential oil, not synthetic}
  • 2 Cups Water

  • 1/4 Cup Aloe Vera Gel

I would love to hear about any other solutions your family uses!
