Taco Pasta Bake

 Taco Pasta Bake

When I saw this recipe for Taco Pasta Bake from Canadian Moms Cook, I couldn’t wait to try it. I changed it a little, and we LOVED the end result. This was very yummy and I’ll be making it again soon. I make a mixed up lasagna like this that freezes well, so I think this taco pasta bake could also be a great one to freeze!

Ingredients for Taco Pasta Bake

1 1/2 pounds ground beef

onion

3 tablespoons taco seasoning {Read my home made taco seasoning recipe here!}

1/2 cup of water

1 package cream cheese

1 box rotini noodles

1 – 1 1/2 cups shredded cheese {I used sharp cheddar}

How to Make Taco Pasta Bake

Chop an onion {I used a whole onion, you can use as much as your family enjoys} and put in a pan to brown with the meat. After the meat is browned, I added 1/2 cup of water mixed with the taco seasoning and finished cooking. Cook the meat thoroughly.  As the meat finished cooking, I boiled the noodles. I then added the package of cream cheese to the meat while it finished cooking. Once the pasta was done, I drained the water off and returned it to the pan. I then mixed in the seasoned meat/cream mixture and stirred completely. Then I poured it into a casserole pan and topped the the shredded cheese. I baked for 20 minutes at 350 degrees until the cheese was melted and bubbly.

    Thanks for the recipe – great idea for the family, we have a swim meet this weekend and I know the kids would love this! Gotta eat pasta before you swim.

    Oh this looks good but I can’t do dairy. I’d have to try with Diaya non dairy cheese and gluten free pasta.
