I stumbled across a brand new ecommerce site recently that has all kinds of benefits for couponers like us. They have the best cash back system that I’ve ever seen and they have great prices on name-brand products.
Bonvera’s Cash Back
Normal Cash Back
If you’re a couponer, you are probably familiar with sites like Ebates and TopCashBack where you can earn cash back on nearly anything you buy.
Top Cash Back and Ebates don’t do this, but a new site called Bonvera.com does.
The site operates a bit differently than your average cash-back site because they also sell their own products. They only have about 100 right now, but it’s mostly name brand stuff at pretty good prices. You can earn both cash back and referral cash on those products as well which you can see here.
Here is a list of the stores that you can earn cash back on through Bonvera as well as:
Bonvera has an arrangement with ALL of these stores to pay you cash back both on your own purchases as well as on anyone that you refer. If you didn’t see your favorite store on the list yet, don’t be too bummed out! The company is brand new and will be adding several more stores in the near future.
Partner Store Cash Back
The company also has a few “partner stores” as well, one of which is called “All Brands for You.” This store has plenty of non-perishable grocery items, pet treats, and even dollar-store-like items. And the best part…? You get cash back on all of this stuff as well + you get even more when you refer other people to Bonvera to do the same.
Save on Name Brand Products
When you go to the site, you’ll see that Bonvera has several name-brand products such as Glade, Crest, Shout, Windex, Gillette, Right-Guard, and Secret. See the image below:
Even though they only have about 100 products right now, they hope to add hundreds more in the future. Actually, the company is technically still in its testing phase, so this is a bit of a sneak peak!
I’m not sure why they have so many energy drinks, but you’ll see a lot of them there. I don’t really drink very many energy drinks, but I know lots of people that do, and when I was doing price comparisons with Amazon, I noticed that some of Bonvera’s products were even cheaper than Amazon’s, even after shipping was calculated.
But What’s the Catch?
While I highly recommend you sign up for Bonvera (I did!). There are two catches which I’ll explain…
The cost to sign up as an Associate is about $50. This gives you the ability to share your links with other people. It’s about the same as a Sam’s Club or Costco membership, so it really isn’t that big of a deal. Depending on how much you buy and how much you refer, you could probably make that back pretty easily.
The other catch is that you have to have a certain amount of points every month to “qualify” to get paid. This will be almost a no-brainer in the future when Bonvera has more products so that you can buy almost everything you buy from them. Right now, it is a small risk.
So here is what I would recommend… go to the site, and look at the products. Again, some of them are priced better than anywhere else on the internet. Take a look at their partner stores and and affiliate stores to see if you think you could spend most of your monthly budget for groceries and other stuff there on the site. If so, sign up right away. If not, bookmark the site so that you can check it out again in a month or two to see if it makes sense.
This is one of those things where you will benefit the most if you are “all in,” meaning that you are willing to transfer your buying habits over from where you currently purchase stuff through Bonvera and it’s partner stores or affiliates stores. If you are, it could save (and make) you a good chunk of change.
If not, don’t go for it. Instead, just check out the site every so often for their great deals.
I personally decided to sign up for a few reasons:
- I have worked with referral programs to make money before, and this is one of the best ones I have seen. Even with the “catches.” Amazon and other online retailers that have Associate programs do not pay you for the life of your customers, this company does, which is pretty neat.”
- I’ve sign up as either a customer or an Associate here. (Don’t bother with the preferred customer subscription, it doesn’t make much sense unless you love energy drinks and meal replacement bars.)
