Pumpkin Oatmeal is one of the boys favorite breakfasts!! It’s easy and delicious and a nice change from the same old oats for breakfast!


How to Make Your Pumpkin Oatmeal


After doing some freezer cooking this past weekend and cleaning out my cupboards, I discovered a lonely can of pumpkin just waiting to be eaten. Our Monday morning deserved to be started off on the right foot, so here we are! Plus, this is so easy, you’ll wonder why you haven’t tried it before! At least, that’s how I felt the first time I made it and the boys started raving how amazing it was and asking for seconds. It’s really the simple things sometimes, huh?


Prepare your oats like normal. I used water and quick cooking oats and I made four servings. At the end of the oats cooking, I stirred in six tablespoons of pumpkin, straight from the can. I then added a tablespoon of butter, a tablespoon of sugar, and a dash of each cinnamon and nutmeg and stirred it all together, mixing well. Voila! Pumpkin oatmeal! You may want to change the amounts you add based on what your family likes. We all enjoy our oats creamy and sometimes add a splash of cold milk to the hot oats right before serving.
